The KC Wheel in Kansas City is in operation!
Dutch Wheels completed the erection and installation of the KC Wheel in September 2024, after which our client, Icon Experiences, completed the site work and installation of its facilities and the Pennway Putt (a great KC themed mini golf) and opened to the public in December 2023!
The KC Wheel is an original 50 meter R50SV Ferris Wheel and was built up at Pennway Point in Kansas City, the heart of Missouri. The Ferris wheel gives the guests a stunning and one-of-a-kind view of the the Kansas City skyline.
The KC Wheel has 36 climate-controlled gondolas (1 VIP) each can hold up to 6 visitors (VIP seats 4). This gives the KC Wheel a capacity of 214 riders at the same time.
The Ferris wheel is equipped with an impressive array of rimbar and spoke lights as well as flood lights, which have been put to great use already, helping light up the sky in Kansas City after the local American Football team, the Kansas City Chiefs secured their 4th Superbowl win!
The overall destination at Pennway Point is set to open mid 2024!
